SEM - Scanning Electron Microscope

Synergy Devices Limited launched new SEM service November 2007

SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope system):

This service is invaluable when evaluation the SpeedMixers potential for dispersing powders, liquids, pastes, nano particulates, grinding techniques, etc.

Per Day: £750.00 (7.5 hours per day, works out to a cost of £100 per hour)
Per Hour Rates: £120.00

Details of service:

The cost includes a qualified technician to operate the machine. If a set up procedure is required for sample preparation, the time it takes will also be charged at the above rates.

Service packages are available for customers who are requiring the SEM machines on a regular basis. The cheapest package is £6000 and it provides access to 12 machine days on the SEM (which works out to be £66.66 per hour). The package is valid for one year from the time of payment and you will have priority access to the machine if you bought the service package.

NB: All the rates above are without V.A.T. These are current rates, so they are bound to change without notice.

Procedure to undertake the service:

Ideally we need to verify that the sample and its preparation are appropriate for the SEM. Each project will be looked at case by case.
